Abstract Art

Abstract Art- uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world

Nonobjective art- another way to refer to abstract art or nonrepresentational art. Essentially, the artwork does not represent or depict a person, place or thing in the natural world. Usually, the content of the work is its color, shapes, brushstrokes, size, scale, and in some cases its process

Nonrepresentational art- refers to work that does not attempt to represent of reference reality.

Abstract Expressionism- an artistic movement of the mid 20th century comprising diverse styles and techniques and 
emphasizing especially an artists liberty to convey attitudes and emotions through nontraditional and usually nonrepresentational means.

Andy Goldsworthy

- Andy Goldsworthy is a brilliant British artist who collaborates with nature to make his creations. 
-Besides England and Scotland, his work has been created at the North Pole, in Japan, the Australian Outback, in the U.S. and many others.
-Goldsworthy regards his creations as transient, or ephemeral. 
-His goal is to understand nature by directly participating in nature as intimately as he can. 
-He generally works with whatever comes to hand: twigs, leaves, stones, snow and ice, reeds and thorns.
